Refund policy

1 Year Warranty & Care Policy:

Our Stainless steel/titanium jewelry is tarnish resistant, waterproof and hypoallergenic. It is safe to wear stainless steel jewelry in water and exercise. However, please try to keep it away from chemical materials such as perfume. When the jewelry gets wet or dirty, clean it with a dry cloth and leave it to air dry. 

Should any of your jewellery purchased from us lose its color within a year of purchasing it, we will happily replace it or provide you with a voucher to the value of the product. It is possible for gold plating to turn a bit darker over time but it will not fade or wear off. This warranty only refers to the color of the jewellery and not to scratches, wear and tear or any breaks. We do offer a warranty on breakages for up to 7 days from the date of purchase. Any breakages after this period are subject to wear and tear as we cannot control how the jewellery has been worn or handled. Extenders and lobsters are not included in the warranty. 

    Everyone's skin type is different. Some people have strong reactions to bronze & gold plating. No refunds or returns are given for the color of your jewelry changing due to skin oils.

    Return & Refund Policy:

    We want you to be happy with your purchase, and we understand if you suddenly have a change of heart. You may return our products in their new, unworn condition within 7 days of delivery for an in-store credit, product exchange or Mia Mi gift voucher. 

    All products will be closely inspected before being shipped out, if you however do receive a defective or incorrect item, you have 7 days to inform us of this and we will then arrange for a collection of the item and for the delivery of a replacement or the correct item to be sent to you. Please note that we will not accept any returns (whether it is the incorrect item or a defective item) if the item has been worn or removed from its original packaging.

    EARRINGS:

    For hygiene reasons earrings may not be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

    NECKLACES:

    We do not offer any refunds on these products, unless the item is faulty. Should you be unhappy with your purchase, we will gladly provide you with a store credit to the value of the product OR you may exchange it for another product of the same value. The customer is liable for the courier fees both ways. To be eligible for an exchange, the product needs to be in its original condition and packaging.

    STORY TELLER NECKLACE:

    We do not offer refunds or exchanges on this item due to the nature of it being a customized and handmade piece that is designed specifically for you and you alone. It is a unique and individual piece that captures its wearers story and no one else. 

    WRONG ITEM DELIVERED:

    We do our best to ensure the product information, availability, purchase price and associated delivery times and fees are accurately reflected on our site. Please notify us at miamijohannesburg@gmail.com within 7 days of an incorrect delivery.

    However, should we accidentally deliver the wrong product to you, or if the product is not as described on the website, or is missing any parts:

    • Please do not remove the product from its original packaging or any of the stickers or labels.
    • Notify us immediately and we will collect the product from you at no charge.

    We will at your choosing:

    • deliver the correct item to you as soon as possible (if available); or
    • send you a voucher for the purchase price of the product

    GOODS ARRIVED DAMAGED:

    If your goods arrive damaged, missing any parts or accessories, or inoperable, then we will do our best to resolve the issue. Please notify us at miamijohannesburg@gmail.com within 7 days (the sooner the better).

    We will require the following information to assess where in the delivery process the damage may have occurred:

    • photograph of the outer box;
    • photograph of the inside of the box, including the inner packaging; and
    • photograph of the damaged item.

    If necessary, we will arrange a collection of the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product or photographs and validated your return (if needed), we will, according to your preference:

    • replace the product (if available); or
    • issue a refund voucher for the purchase price of the product

    HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM:

    There are different methods of returning an item:

    • You may drop off the item at our HQ
    • You may courier the item to our HQ 
    • The location will be issued in an email to the customer

    A 10% admin fee will be applied to any orders cancelled or returned. This is the service fee charged by our payment providers.

    All items are returnable except for:

    • Special orders
    • Custom made orders
    • Out Story Teller Necklace (due to its custom nature)
    • Earrings (for hygienic reasons)
    • Sale items

    Please note that you have accepted our terms and conditions as well as returns and refunds policy once you have made a purchase.
